REGISTER HERE

A decade ago, the e-commerce industry in China was negligible, virtually non-existent, but fast forward to 2014 and the scenario has completely changed with China poised to overtake the US in revenue terms. 11/11 sales in China in 2013 grew by over 80% over the previous year more than tripling the amount of ‘Cyber Monday’ sales in the US.

With this rise in online sales is a clear trend towards transactions through mobile devices with China already leading the world on this front.

So who is driving this phenomenon? This 41.4 billion US dollar (2015 projections) question is what our speakers will address. Gain insight from the people in the know, those who have rolled up their sleeves and plunged deep in the bottomless potential that is the Chinese m-commerce industry.

Partner Event: Shanghai Barcamp

For the 9th time in Shanghai, the tech community will unite for BarCamp, the famously dubbed “un-conference” where anyone, from a first year student to a renowned entrepreneur, with a deep passion for technology is given a stage to share their ideas with like-minded techies. Its ethos is simple but powerful- offer a completely open forum for sharing the latest ideas in technology. This “un-conference” will have no overriding theme, pre-organized activities or limitations on who has the chance to speak. Attendees can expect everything- from the brilliant to bizarre- to be shared during the day.

BarCamp Shanghai is open to anyone and free thanks to sponsors, including SingTel innov8, Google China, and People Squared. More than 300 people are expected to attend this time. Attendees will find new opportunities to network with fellow geeks, exchange ideas, or even host a session.
